Quoted from +Peggy K who is AWESOME!…
You’ll also get a handy look at who's on the call before you start presenting. Once you’re ready to rock, you can use your mobile device to advance slides, view speaker notes and stay on track with a built-in timer.

Changes on the way for Google+ and YouTube

The only thing constant is change!

Here's a link to the Google Blog and to the YouTube Blog where these items are announced today plus I'll pull out some key quotes from the Blogs and posts about the blogs.

Google Blog Post:
http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2015/07/everything-in-its-right-place.html

YouTube Blog Post:
http://youtube-global.blogspot.com/2015/07/youtube-comments.html

From +Bradley Horowitz's post (Google/Google+)…
We're going to continue focusing Google+ on helping users connect around the interest they love, and retire it as the mechanism by which people share and engage within other Google products.

and
We decided it’s time to fix this, not only in YouTube, but across a user’s entire experience at Google. We want to formally retire the notion that a Google+ membership is required for anything at Google… other than using Google+ itself.

From the YouTube Blog Post…
With today’s announcement from Google+, you’ll see more changes. The comments you make on YouTube will now appear only on YouTube, not also on Google+. And vice-versa. This starts rolling out today.

and
Your YouTube channel
This one’s further off. In the coming weeks, YouTube will no longer require a Google+ profile when you want to upload, comment, or create a channel. If you’re happy with everything as it is now, then just keep on keepin’ on. If you want to remove your Google+ profile, you’ll be able to do this in the coming months, but do not do it now or you’ll delete your YouTube channel (no bueno)…

Everything in its right place

New Options for Facebook Videos

Looks like Facebook Page owners are getting much better options for the videos they upload directly to the platform.

Many of these are things YouTube users are used to having i.e. "Secret Videos" sound a lot like "Unlisted" YouTube videos at first glance. But Facebook has now given video creators much more control for what they upload directly to the social network.

Read the details below.

Customization and Control: New Tools for Video Publishers | Facebook Media
Today we’re excited to introduce enhancements to our video upload system and a new Video Library. The enhanced video upload flow gives Page owners customized distribution options for videos on Facebook, while the new Video Library is a simple, centralized place to manage videos.

Community Links Show Blue instead of Red 'g' for Google

If you use Google+ Communities you know that in the upper right area when you arrive there you will see the About this community information area…

Many of us that run communities utilize that space to explain a bit about the community and link to posts/areas inside and outside the community.

Until recently the links to items that lived inside a Google+ Community were shown with a Red G (google logo) or g+, now they are showing up as Blue Gs. Not a huge deal, but interesting how the Color Schemes of G+ are Changing. Will the Big Red g+ Logo be next?
